Guest guest
I see 3 red flags for these products - 1) I can not find any readily available ingredients lists for their formulas. This is a major problem. Many people ASSUME that botanicals are perfectly safe but that is not true (ex; hemlock). Not only can many herbs have toxic side effects but there are allergen issues as well. 2) It seems that they like to use a lactose base for their pills which is a problem for those on dairy restrictions. 3) These are some of the most ridiculously priced botanical formulas I have ever seen. Seriously, 60$ for two bottles? Come on.... I once was studying to be an herbalist so I'm not completely ignorant on these things. If you want to try the herbal route I would recommend using single ingredient supplements alone or in combinations. There is an abundance of literature on the effects of herbs and you would merely have to Google " medicinal herb (insert symptom here) " to get a list. In this way not only can you properly inform yourself as to what options there may be but you would also find the toxicology and allergen information alongside the benefits and in that way make a more informed decision. By the way, one thing I can recommend off the top of my head for the kids on meds is Milk Thistle. It is a proven agent in not only keeping your liver healthy but in repairing damage done to it. I am starting my son on it soon as well (after I double check with his doctor). His psych just ordered a liver function test so that is what prompted me to start him on it. Ok, well that's it. Please be careful when considering mysterious, ingredient list free formulas that make amazing claims. Have a great day!
