Guest guest
Oh boy..not sure why I did not see my message posted here. I posted information about purchasing the audio tape of Dr. Bihari radio interview on wbai in New York here yesterday....well at least I thought I did but I did not see it in the daily digest. I'll post it direct from my mail box this time instead of from the site: I ordered the tape of the show by dialing (973) 762-5017. I used my Visa card and was told that it would be $16.00 including the shipping fee. Karla said that I would probably see the tape in about a week. Also the phone number is going to change by Wednesday 10/8/03. If you live in New York and can listen to the radio show you will no doubt be able to get that new phone number very easily. _________________________________________________________________ Add MSN 8 Internet Software to your existing Internet access and enjoy patented spam protection and more. Guest guest
I think this is more or less a common occurence as far as what Arlene is saying about her doc asking her not to advertise that he is prescribing LDN for her. I believe it is happening alot - docs are prescribing it but do not want to get overwhelmed with calls for appointments, meanwhile, the phone consult docs are really racking up. I have to admit that although my first instinct would be to pass my information along, if our doc did agree to prescribe but asked me to keep quiet, I would do what he asked because I would do what I had to do to keep the script for my son. If the doc didn't ask me to keep quiet, I would shout it from the rooftops! This is the exact reason why so many people are having more success in getting LDN from long term family docs. I think when your doc has seen you go through alot of MS meds without success, they are more willing to think outside the box. In my son's case, I think his age and the " gamble " (in their eyes) were just too much to ask them to take a chance on. We use Dr. via phone consult, but I want to get away from that as soon as possible. I don't like anything about it, but it got him LDN, and that is all that really matters. Maybe we should all make a point of asking the docs who prescribe for us if it is okay to refer others to them. They have to be careful, though, which is exactly why we have this whole dilemna. I really appreciate your effort to get an updated list, Joyce. How about calling all the compounding pharmacies across the states and asking for their lists of doctors who prescribe??? I would be glad to help with that chore, or maybe we could divide it up with where we all live??? There aren't too many compounders in Kentucky, but I'll see what I can find out that way. Most have toll free numbers, or you could use one of those dollar per call dial up numbers. Let me know what you think...Is this an idea? Take care, and have a great weekend.
