Guest guest
MS did not happen overnight! Do not be impatient, though that is my usual problem. You said you would change dose after a day! A little too impatient. I don't know how many days(I said 5 just so it was realistic to someone impatient) I am on it Since July 4th, I have had some great days and some bad days. The bad days are still better than when I was on Rebif. Two and ahalf months and in retrospect, I can see taking it earlier is for me. Give it time and keep a journal. I never logged the time, just logged how I felt. Now, from you, I learned how important the time is. I am so very happy for the tingles you felt! Stick with Dr. B protocol for a while ...9:30 for awhile. Kiki
Guest guest
I got the leg tingling immediately at 11:15pm. By 4:30am the 4.5mg dose was in full swing. It was blocking my endorphins. That's why the headache. It was not blocking my excitatory receptors at that high dose. That's why the photosensitivity! I went back to sleep. At around 7am the tingling returned. The headache was gone. Endorphins had kicked in. Some of the naltrexone was still vestigially working and blocking the excitatory receptors too. My balance was better. My walking was still ok. Now the tingling is almost gone. So I really don't need the headache but it wasn't an attack so I should try 9pm at the same dose, just to verify what I think. But I can feel the stuff working, and it was not working when I woke at 4:30am. Also, one person tried 10:45pm instead of 9:45pm and: --------------------------------------------------------------- What a difference the following day,, and since......... I have regained my balance, strength , walking better, leg spasms almost gone,,,,stiffness is almost gone ,,sleeping much better w/2 potty visits, and " NO PAIN " anywhere. I don't mind being in this body now and before the Ldn , it was my own personal torcher chamber that went ever where with me esp. bed. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I am speculating that this person moved farther into the endorphin cycle, and the stuff had an effect. The people who are taking 0.5 mg of LDN on the Pain Therapeutics pain trial had a 100% success rate. There is no reason MS should not have the same rate! I am also beginning to suspect (having read that some get diarrhea along with the leg cramps) that the stuff may stop the constipation that comes with narcotic use. It certainly helps IBS sufferers get regular. Also, junkies get light sensitive. Maybe that is because of excitatory receptors. -Sullivan
Guest guest
I take it between 9PM and 3AM, I just happen to take my LDN between Midnight and 2AM most every day (3 times were after 3, but before 4, and in DST, and once I took it before 10PM). Just so happens I normally am at work 12-8am, but even when I'm off due to weekends or vacation, I still take it between 12 and 2AM Keep a journal of how you feel each day. In 90 days, you should see how all the changes worked their way through. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sullivan low dose naltrexone Sent: Friday, September 26, 2003 05:44 Subject: [low dose naltrexone] what else? LDN Took 4.5 mg at 11:15 last night.Almost immediate tingling in legs.Wide awake at 4:30am. Seem to be walking better. Balance notimproved. Light sensitive. Headache again.OK so if this is the beginning of endorphin production why do Istill have a headache?I was irretrievably awake at 4:30am. So why? I have had thishappen before and was on sleeping pills to fix it. What *is* it?I figured out the last time that I was waking at first light of dawn, and started closing the blinds. Am I very photosensitive at this hour? All I can say for now, but tomorrow I try 3.5 mg at the same time.If the lower doses continue to make my walking better I willtry 8am (remember Larry takes his before he goes to work!).Can't believe how obvious the effect of this stuff is. I cantell it's doing something almost in the first minute.-Sullivan
Guest guest
It's OK.. I already sent my reply to you via the list. I left out your words, but kept in mine. Do you agree with Larry's 90 days? The pain trial was only 1 month. Or is it a week? Or 5 days? I agree that I am too impatient. But I really can feel it working. How I know is before I took a dose I used a tiny bit on the end of my finger. From Crain and Shen I know that it has an effect on mouse nerves down to a concentration equivalent to 600 molecules. After about 1 hour I could feel the tingling in my legs that 4.5 mg gave me within 1 minute. This was new to me. I had never felt it before. I can easily recognize it now as LDN, though I have a faulty sense of taste and smell, and could not tell you whether I was tasting LDN or acetaminophen. - Sullivan -----Original Message-----From: NoClue915@... Guest guest
Yippeee! An extension of my endorphin production. I went out and did my usual walk around the block. Only today it was without my walker. Then I helped my wife with some repairs to some kitchen stools. I am only now slowing down. So no changes to the time or dose. I will wear an eyemask to see if I can avoid waking up. The headache might have helped. Hope it doesn't come back. MS did not happen overnight. My muscles and corpus colosum have atrophied, and I am having trouble because my proprioception has returned and I am not used to it. I am still getting a bit spastic from core heating but not nearly as much (evidenced by how I felt at the end of my walk). But hey if this was as good as it got I would declare myself cured. I am pushing 50 and I don't expect much. Who could ask for anything more? -Sullivan -----Original Message-----From: NoClue915@...
