There are times when a simple change can make a world of

difference in someone's life. A helping hand can brighten a dim outlook, and

that is the goal of the Brighter Tomorrow Grant program. The Multiple

Sclerosis Foundation (MSF) will begin accepting applications for a

2003 Brighter Tomorrow Grant on July 1 and will receive them

until October 1. Recipients of the annual grants will be notified in

December.

The Brighter Tomorrow Grant is an award of up to $1000 to

provide goods or services that will help improve the quality of life of

someone with MS. Applicants write an essay describing what

would enable them to have a better quality of life. In past years, the

program has provided items for improved daily life such as

appliances, personal items, car repairs and home modifications. Education

and improved health and well-being were also encouraged through

the presentation of exercise equipment and classes, hobby

supplies and financial assistance for educational purposes. Recipients

desiring greater independence received wheelchairs, ramps, and other

assistive technology equipment.

To receive an application for the 3rd annual Brighter Tomorrow

Grant, contact the MSF at 1-888-MSFOCUS (673-6287) or visit

http://www.msfocus.org/bwmg.htm.

The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation is a national, non-profit

organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of those

diagnosed with MS. To learn more about the Multiple Sclerosis

Foundation, Inc., call 1-800-225-6495 or visit http://
