Guest guest
Well, here it is....where I live in the village of Webster, they have gutters in the street to direct the water that needs to flow off. Well, those of us, who are disabled and in wheelchairs, have a difficult time going over these gutters because of the wide dip. We always seem to get stuck and then have to either flag someone down for a push or take our chances ending up on the ground. The village is willing to work with us to fix the problem. I need to know if anyone in reading distance has been confronted with this problem in their city, town or village? What did your municipality do to fix this problem? If you have this problem and your local government refused to give a solution to fix it, how did you fight it. I have contacted our local University, RIT's Engineering department to get a Civil Engineer to give us a solution. The head of the Engineering department is willing to present this to her staff. But, I am putting this out to all of you to help in our perplexing problem. Thank You Cabbie Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. - Norman Peale
