Guest guest
Hi , > Hi , LDN is low dose naltrexone it is an opiate used in 50mg > doses for drug and alcohol abusers. No, it is an opiate " antagonist " , not an opiate Regarding treatment of addicts: " Naltrexone is classed as an opioid antagonist. It works by blocking the opioid receptors in the brain and therefore blocking the effects of heroin and other opioids. " http://www.adf.org.au/drughit/facts/naltrexone.html You can't become physically dependent on naltrexone, and it does not produce any euphoric effects like an opiate does. Guest guest
Hi Janis, I almost left this group because I felt the poster was making LDN'ers look like drug addicts. I understand completely how and why LDN work, I guess my point was that information about LDN a lot of times is not quite accurate, I think that prevents quite a few MS'ers from looking into it. (I've since rejoined that group, have worked out the differences with the poster, and have realized that we need to stay focused and educate. :0)
Guest guest
Hi , I just finished talking to in her chat and guess what? She is in the middle of a bad relapse and is going to have a test to see if she is building up antibodies to Avonex. Her doc wants he to go on Rebif, but if she is progressing on the abcr drugs, SHE WILL GET LDN!! She is no longer talking against LDN, and I think that is a good sign. I think is an open minded person, who only wants what is best for herself and all msers......And if LDN works for her, that would be one very strong naysayer on ldn's side. She is a very strong voice for her chatroom and the people there trust her to be honest with them.....So let's pray that she does the best thing....whatever that may be....and I hope, of course, that it will be LDN Hugs, Sally --- In low dose naltrexone , " " <davizona@c...> wrote: > Hi , LDN is low dose naltrexone it is an opiate used in 50mg > doses for drug and alcohol abusers.
