Guest guest
Thanks , and After I ordered it...I went to another web page and found the following WARNING....I guess I can't take it, because I am taking Paxil, and it warns against taking with SSRIs (paxil, zoloft, prozac, celexa, wellbutrin etc.... Oh well pooh, more money down the drain. I usually research these things. Sally DL-Phenylalanine or DLPA, is a 50/50 mixture of the D- and L- forms of the amino acid phenylalanine (phenylalanine is one of the few aminos that can be utilized in its D- form). Researchers believe that D-phenylalanine (DPA) inhibits the action of an enzyme that breaks down endorphins and enkephalins. These proteins bind to opiate receptor sites in the brain, thereby influ-encing the perception of discomfort By obstructing the action of this enzyme, DAP may extend the life of endorphins and enkephalins and their positive influence on comfort levels. D-phenylalanine is the precursor to two neurotransmitters that help support an alert state. Suggested Use: 1 to 3 tablets daily, or as recommended by your health care professional. Warning: Contains phenylalanine. Not to be used by phenylketonurics, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or with antidepressants drugs such as MAOI's or SSRI's. If you have chronic high blood pressure, consult your health care professional. Do not use if either tamper- evident seal is broken or missing. Keep out of the reach of children. Guest guest
I hate that some of you aren't able to use DLPA. I guess I'm lucky that I do not have any anxiety problems with my MS. If you do suffer from anxiety, then combined Amino Acids is not for you. Research each individual Amino Acid before purchasing it. Just go to your favorite search engine and type in the name of each amino acid and read up on it. First type in Amino Acids and get a name list of all the Amino Acids and then do your research.
