Hi I need some help

Hi My name is and my boyfriends son ( 8yrs) was just diagnosed

with Auspergers. He has always been told by counclers and M.D.'s

that he was ADD. He has been on every kind of ADD med that there is,

so I am greatfull that they actually figured out that he has AS. I

am a adult who as lived with Dislexea forever. My Junior English

teacher is the only one who figured out that I had a LD, but by that

time I had figured out how to deal with it my self to get by, but I

dont want that to happen with Baliey. I have just briefly looked on-

line for infor on Aspergers... I have found all of the requirements

for AS, but I cant find anything to help us and the teachers deal

with it day to day. Please help if anyone can give me some

suggestions.

I will quick brief his charistics of AS. He is 8 and he gets into

trouble all of the time is school, they already have a teacher aid

dedacated just to baliey. At home he is always with his stuffed

animals.... Toy land as he stated it. He always has his thumb in his

mouth. He cant stop sucking his thumb. He overreacts when something

isnt right or doesnt go right. He cant stop his emotions and

rasanalize with him self. He knows that he is increadably intelegent

and can remember a whole tv comerational in one viewing. He is

constantly ingrossed in the tv and wont listen to anything that is

happening around him. he wont look at you when you talk to him. He

has mass anxiety and the md put him on a anti anxiety med, but the

more i read about AS i dont think that he needs it. There are meny

more things that we cant understand or controol that just isnt

comming to my mind at this point. Mostly h balieys dad just

wants him to stop spinning in circles, sucking his thumb and

freeking out at every change. I know that is going to take some time

and Im willing to help and work with Baliey and also willing to help

h deal with him correctly. Please someone help or lead me to

where I can get help or answers. Thankyou
