Guest guest
Dear Don: I was born in November, 1939, and have a permanent home in southeast Arizona. However, am currently employed as a Highway Construction Engineer working at Delta, Colorado. I was positively diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) in February, 1998, when my WBC was 22k. However, when I researched my test results, I discovered that my white blood cells (WBC) started rising in 1995. Since then, I've done a significant amount of research on CLL. I was also diagnosed as a Type 2 diabetic in 2002. My leukemia has not been medically treated however, I've made major dietary changes, take numerous vitamins and minerals, and have tried some naturopathic things. I've been taking LDN since June 12, 2003, and my test results are as follows: 9/10/03 7/16/03 7/9/03 6/25/03 Range WBC 214.4k 195.6k 205.5k 187.4k 4.0-10.7 RBC 3.20 3.40 3.51 3.46 4.5-6.0 HgB 9.4 9.4 9.4 9.4 14.0-18.0 Platelets 108 131 123 118 130-400 I'm scheduled to get another set of tests next week and am interested in seeing what they show after being on LDN for 4 months. I realize it will probably take some time before I can practically say that the progression of the leukemia has stopped but, I believe I have more energy, a better attitude, and other minor improved side effects since going on LDN. I know I don't have any adverse side effects. You didn't say whether your wife is on LDN or not. Noland ----- Original Message ----- From: " Don Schultz " <donschultz@...> " Noland R. Durnell, P.E. Guest guest
Good morning, : I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I'm sure he and your family are having a difficult time accepting the " news " . It's like being hit between the eyes with a 2 x 4 and being thoroughly stunned. I know because I have Atypical Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). My white cell count (WBC) started up in 1995 and I was positively diagnosed as having CLL in February, 1998. What particular kind of leukemia do they think your brother has? You can research leukemia in the chat board archives by doing the following: 1. Go to www.LDNinfo.org 2. Click on " LDN Group Site " 3. Click on " Sign in to " 4. Sign in 5. This will give you access to all the messages starting in September, 2002 There are several e-mails about various forms of cancer including chronic lymphocytic leukemia. I would bet that the Oncologist is not going to even listen to you about LDN. My experience with them is that they are generally closed-minded and " holier than God " . However, don't give up on getting LDN. The sooner your brother starts taking it, the better. If you have any questions after researching the archives or if I can be of any help, please let me know. Guest guest
Sandy: No. However, I have Atypical Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) which does not have any tumors or growths. It just affects the blood mainly. You don't normally die from CLL. It weakens your immune system to the point that you end up taking massive doses of antibiotics or die from a massive infection. Also, you can die from massive internal hemorrhaging because you can't produce enough blood platelets. Hi , I have been reading a lot about these attacks while on LDN being underlying infections. Could they be caused by something as simple as a yeast infection?? I had a real set back after one week on LDN and I was not sick like people said to check for. The only thing going on was a yeast infection, I get them often as I am a diabetic. I just don't consider them illness anymore. It is gone and the attack slowly eased off, it took another five days, I am better than before LDN but not like I was after that first week, I was great then. I don't mind having to suffer every attack I ever had if I can get back to how well I was that after that first week! Give up on LDN? NO WAY! thanks for your help Peace, Zil

Dr. Bihari is most likly not available at this time. He's been in rehab for a neck fracture he sustained in an accident. You can go to the LDN website and click on contact us and ask Dr. Gluck these questions with the email address provided. Dr. Gluck worked with Bihari on the LDN research and Dr. Gluck and son run the LDN website. Dr. Gluck can not give you advice on what treatment you should choose but he might can give you answers as to how LDN works on your type of cancer. I hope your compounding pharmacy is using Pure Naltrexone Powder and is NOT using calcium carbonate as a filler. It has been found through this forum and other LDN forums that in many cases calcium carbonate can cause LDN to release slow...LDN MUST release FAST to work. If the LDN is releasing slow it will not work on your cancer. Ask your pharmacy if they are using Pure Naltrexone Powder and ask what filler they are using. The best fast release fillers are...Acidophilus(milk free), Lactose, Gelatin and Avicel(cellulose). Cornstarch usually causes stomach upset so try to avoid that one also. In the link below ignore the google ads at the top of the board. There are updates on my mom throughout the entire thread so read the whole thing for those updates.
