I hope you haven't left!!! I noticed in your posting you were inquiring

about me. Thanks! I did have an ultrasound. I have been so upset I've

pretty much been staying in the background. Reading some e-mails, but mostly

avoiding everything.

My ultrasound came back negative. That means I will more than likely have to

have a biopsy. I'm waiting to have some more blood work. Why? BECAUSE THEY

LOST MY BLOOD! Isn't that a kick in the pants!

So I will probably go back today and get it drawn. Fun.

I have been very irritable lately because of all that is going on. My

husband has been making of point of telling me this!

Well, gotta run, but I hope you and everyone else stays on the list!

le,

I have a read a few of your e-mails and I feel for you please stay positive

and remember everything will be okay!!! All husbands are the same mine does

the same thing and I have to remind him that he is inflicted with nothing

that gives him pain 24/7 so he must have compassion and patience with me....

I do realize sometimes it hard for people who do not suffer from PA to

understand chronic pain, constant dr. visits that just irritate us more....

but, all in all your doing great and just keep smiling if you can!!!

Take care

You sound like you have a lot of experience in this area. Are you a health

professional of some kind? I do appreciate your knowledge and the info. you

share.

I'm not a health professional. My experience comes from being a patient, abd

having gone through several " ecological " illnesses due to an immune system

severely impaired by excessive use of drugs as a child. I was a child of the

end of the baby boom, a cold war brat, a chemical child. I was exposed to

strange drugs and chemicals all my life, even in the womb. For example, my

mother smoked while she was pregnant and when I was born in 1959 in Flushing,

Queens, Dr. Roland asked her if she would like to have her baby on August

15th. She said yes and he gave her an experimental drug to induce birth. Of

course I came out in a foul mood and with lots of rashes and sore throats,

which were then treated with antibiotics, especially tetracycline, now known

to be the most immunosuppressive of all. These early events beyond my

control contributed greatly to determining my journey.

This history has caused me to be extremely cautious in overvaluing

psychological elements per se as THE sole singlemost important factor in the

genesis of illness. I believe this to be a mythology, an oversimplification.

Like all our fellow animals, we are both creatures of matter and creatures

of energy. And because we alone appear to have higher consciousness, we are

also creatures of our history, of our memory of it. In questions of illness,

all three--biology, energy, psychology--are equally important; all three need

to be addressed.

If I sound like a doctor it's probably because of an extremely rigorous

intellectual training I had in an Ivy League program which I chose not to

complete. I would have become in fact a PhD (doctor of philosophy, not

medicine). My field was the humanities. This training has provided me with

communicative tools very similar to those used by medical professions. This

is the reason I sound like I know a lot. Believe me, It is form, not

content. I really don't know any more than many many people on this list.

Nevertheless, Sue, I'm glad you enjoy my posts. Thank you. I also get a lot

out of this list.

If you have lots of cash (or credit) the best one I know is Randolph Meltzer.

He is now on Waverly Place and his number is 255-6710. He is a DC who uses

a combination of herbs and homeopathics and a machine which is similar from

what I can gather to a synchronometer. His visits are not outrageously

expensive as far as the market goes, but his supplements do add up quickly

and depending on how sick you are his program can take several months to

complete. But I believe he is an outstanding healer.

If you want a good thorough general cleansing my colonic therapist is Trisha

Rossi at the Natural Alternative Center on West 72nd Street.--787-3645. She

is a DN (Phd in Naturopathy) and has a good thorough cleansing program which

should last eight weeks. But she does not get so much into the specifics of

individual illnesses. I did find in " Free Spirit " publication a colonic

therapist who works in conjunction with an MD. If you want I can dig it up.

Unfortunately most of the holistic MDs in the New York area are WILDLY

expensive. (I mean wildly). Dr. Biamonte in the financial district

has a website. He sounds like he is very good with parasites, but he costs a

fortune just to shake his hand. I'm interested in Dr. Ali Majid who is

located in Teaneck, NJ. This is not too far from New York. He is known as

an expert on candida and CFIDS, and a compassionate person. He might not be

quite as expensive due to his location and charitable nature, and he might

even accept insurance????

I know one very good moderately priced Chinese doctor in Chatham Square, Dr.

Mu, who works with herbs, acupuncture and energy (chi kung, tai chi). I

can't seem to find him in the phone book but I could track him down if you

want. Then there is Dr. Fu Zhang off of Canal Street. He works mainly with

herbs (will do acupuncture too) and is VERY inexpensive, may not be the

answer to ALL your prayers but well worth the 24 bucks for a visit, pulse

readings and two weeks worth of herbs. 966-6015.

If you do ever go to Trisha Rossi please say I recommended you and also let

me know. I'm supposed to get a free colonic for every two new people I send

to her.

Thanks,

Robin G.

Dear Suzy:

If you do not know how long it has been out, DO NOT use it. If you

have some idea, and want an expert's view, call Plough-Scherring at

800-526-4099. Marty

Hi

I have been having a lot of trouble with my accounts, ; they kept

bouncing my messages. I had to keep reactivating them. Hopefuly, the

problem is fixed now. This has happened before to me, and I don't know why!

I started LDN this week, today is the second day for me. I went to a

DO and he prescribed it for me in the 3 mg dosage. My GP said he was going

to call Dr. Bahari and check out a compounding pharmacy he knew, but that

was 3 weeks ago, so I decided it was time for me to take charge. Now I am

feeling a little goofy, can't explain, almost bordering on nausea and have

abdominal pain in the morning until my bowels move. Has anyone else

experienced anything like this? Also, I wake up rather early and can't go

back to sleep and my legs are jumping more in bed. Will these symptoms ever

subside?

HI EVERYONE. WELL I'M BACK WITH YET ANOTHER E-MAIL ADDRESS SINCE

FOR SOME REASON WANTS TO KEEP DEACTIVATING ME. I'M USUALLY

CHECKING MY MAIL EVERYDAY AND WAS ONLY USING 6% OF MY STORAGE SPACE

THE DAY BEFORE I COULDN'T SIGN IN. I KNOW IT'S OFF TOPIC BUT HAS

ANYONE ELSE HAD TROUBLE WITH A ACCOUNT? ANYWAYS I STILL DID NOT

..

Good morning, Joan:

Is your compounding pharmacy one of those listed at www.LDNinfo.org? If

not, the filler in the capsules may be giving you problems.

Hi Group. I'm not your most exciting heterochromia case, but I do have two different colored eyes....both brown, but one is very dark and the other is fairly light. I have noticed that the outer perimeter of both irises have a graiysh crescent at the top of the iris. I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know how long it's been this way! If it's a relatively new development, I wonder if this means my eyes are slowly changing color. If so, it's taken 40 years! :-) Have any of you experienced a permament eye color change? I Tina
