IgG tests with mangoes, blueberries?

I need to have my son's food intolerances re-tested, and I need suggestions

for a quality lab with a panel that includes both mangoes & blueberries (the

original one we had done did not include blueberries for sure and he is a

blueberry FIEND). So I guess I'm looking for a lab that is above all-

ACCURATE, but also with as wide a variety as possible of foods to test but

at a fairly reasonable price.that may be a tall order! :-)

The best lab isGenova(used to be Great Smokies) in Ashville, NC. You need a doctor to call to have the test material sent to you. We just did it and it has the foods you asked about onit. The thing you have to remember is that if the child hasn't eaten the particular foods in a few weeks prior to the testing-even if the child is allergic-the allergy will not show up. This is common on all IgG food testing. I would be very careful if your child is a berry child. Be careful of

oxalates (you can check this with an OATS test) because they have

oxalates and if you decide to do them I would only give organic or

you'll be feeding your child pesiticides. They are all over the skin

of berrries.

OK, I'm off for now. I'll try to log on again later.

Well, the reason I had been

avoiding Great Smokies (now Genova)

is that my mother-in-law showed up as positive to some seafoods

that she hadn’t consumed in years (if ever). And Great Smokies had no logical explanation for this. Has anyone

else had this kind of experience? We just want to be sure that what we get back

is accurate. And in response to Stan’s

caution- yes, we only buy frozen organic blueberries. But he’d go through

several bags a day if we’d let him- which is typically a sign of

intolerance, I know. But everything I’ve read indicates that allergy

& intolerance to blueberries is rare (which is probably why most labs don’t

include it in their panel). He doesn’t

seem to show the signs of having an oxylate problem

(I lurked on that group for a while), but anything is possible.

Thanks!
