I don't know either. I have been taking 3.0 since 4/17. I asked for my script to be changed to 4.5 mg, and filled in 1.5 mg caps. So I'm taking 2 caps a night now until I decide to try out 4.5 mg and see for myself what it does. If you ask to have the 4.5 filled in 1.5 caps, you can run your trial and make a good decision.

I have PPMS and have been on 3.0mg of LDN since August 15. I've had nosymptomatic improvement and it seems some subtle progression. However,I intend to stay on LDN for at least six months. The last two weeksI've been doing a trial run of 4.5 and have seen no changes from ahigher dosage. It's time to refill the prescription for one of thedosages. So . . . has it been determined if more is better, or less?Thanks--Martha

I guess I should be more specific and rephrase the question. Has anyone seen

improvement after going to 4.5mg from 3.0mg?

Thanks--

Martha

Hi Martha, I went up to 4.5mg for a couple of weeks and didnt

improve any and had a lot of stiffness. So I'm back on 3mg and

doing ok....not great, but ok. I haven't had any progression of

disability, but there are days when I think I've progressed....but

I've figured out that those are just bad days, and usually improve

the next day or two. Dr Bahari warned that there would be days like

that....so hang in there.

Good wishes, Sally

In my case I did the reverse. I started on 4.5mg and reduced to 3.0mg.

Nothing changed apart from the occasional abdominal cramps I was

getting with the higher dose. Perhaps raising the dose would have

worked better.

Hi Martha, if the higher dose does not make you stiff, I would stay with it. I went to Dr.B this week and that is what he told me. Try for 3 days, if you are not stiffer, keep to the higher dose. Some of us need more and some less, it is indivudual, especially for MS. Kiki
