I would dispute the amount on my credit card - call them immediately and they

will give you a refund.

[ ] Beware: weighted blanket never arrived

Someone here (or possibly on one of my other ASD lists) suggested I

order a weighted blanket from www.myweightedblankets.com. I did order

one and paid by credit card. However, the blanket never arrived and it

has been at least 6 months. I have emailed this person several times

using contact info on her website, with no reply.

This is the first time I have not received something I ordered online

and I consider myself fortunate. But when I see her website still up,

it bothers me. Who should I complain to about not receiving my

product? Any other ideas on getting weighted blankets?

Thanks,

Beth

Beth, if you or someone you know is good with a sewing machine, I

suggest using the instructions here to make your own weighted

blanket:

http://www.autismtoday.com/experts/experts_view_answers.asp?

exp_id=39 & name=%20A.%20May-Benson

(You'll need to cut and paste that link into your browser - the

relevant information is halfway down the page.) A kind relative of

ours made one for us, and it is beautiful.

best wishes

Rene

Contact your credit card company to get the charge reversed. You don't have

to pay for something you never received.

Isn't there a time limit for disputed charges? 90 days or so? I've

never done it, but I seem to recall hearing time limits.

Check out .com for info on how to dispute charges. I'm

pretty sure his radio show is where I keep hearing about this.

I'm not sure about a time limit. Just call your credit card company and

explain what happened. They will advise you from there.
