Dear Alba:

Any side effects you might experience from LDN is insomnia and leg stiffness in the morning if taking a dosage that is too strong for your body. To alleviate these effects if they do not subside or disappear in a week or two, is to reduce the dosage. Every individual has a different tolerance level for LDN. You have to experiment on yourself to determine the maximum amount of LDN not to exceed 4.5 mg to take to make yourself feel the best.

I'm inclined to think that the people that say that Naltrexone at the low dosages we are talking about causes liver damage do not understand what Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is. I myself am quite certain it does not cause near the damage that betaseron causes or any of the other ABCR's, etc.

Hello Noland

Thanks for your quick reply. My name's Alba and i know i have sep (MS in french) since june 2002. I am now beginning interferon (betaseron), but i have doubts as side effects of it are really bad and i can't travel as easily as before with it. My questions are also about side effects of ldn. Here in france most people i've been speaking with say it has effects on liver whether you take low or high quantity of it? Do you know if there are studies on that and if they have done experiences. I don't knowsince how long people have been taken it. maybe it's too short to say anything?

If you have any clue please tell me

See you

Alba

Hi Noland and LDN group....I have been able to get a local Doctor in Canada to prescribe LDN 3 mg for me ( brought him info from Dr. Biharis site ) and then brought the same info to a Compounding Pharmacy to check it out and they have compounded a 3mg with magnesium as a filler....SO I'M just 5 days into taking it at night..BUT I'm having trouble sleeping... I'm 5 years breast cancer free...or almost the last PET scan picked up small trace amounts of cancer in my internal mammary chain..which did not show up on the CT Scan...anyone else in the group taking LDN for Concerns with cancer esp...breast.....AND I have reduced the dose to 1.5 ( empty the capsule ) for a few nights and I'm still having trouble...how long will this last..and can i take it arounf 8:00Pm....I do plan on becoming a patient of Dr. Bihari BUT I am spent out ( on other effective Alternatives ) for a month ..and do I need to become a patient ?...........all the best good luck great reading all the info I have 2 firends with Ms so I am excited about LDN......Sandy.
