Guest guest
If you want to work at any hospital, you have to get a flu shot. You could probably get a lawyer or a waiver, but you probably would not have a job. This was the ONE time in my life I got a flu shot and then, although they say this is impossible as this is not a live virus, I promptly got a mild flu for three days. [ ] Re: Thimerosol-free Vaccines? I don't think they can force someone to get the flu shot. I work in nursing also and was encouraged to get the shot but I declined. There must be a waiver or I would contact a lawyer. I would not get the shot because there will always be trace amounts of thermosil in it. > > hello, a friend is nurse at our hospital and is required to get flu vac. he > saw in hospital policies that they will provide thimerosol-free vac whenever > available. he asked about t-free flu vaccine, and got the following > response: > > According to the flyer that accompanies our flu vaccine this year, it > states: " Thimerosol is used at the early stages of manufacture and is > removed by subsequent purification steps to a trace amount.
