Naloxone, Naltrexone--respond to endogenous opioids

Since there are three KNOWN OPIOID RECEPTORS in the body's chemistry

system, identified as Mu, Kappa, and Delta, it would be common sense

to think that either drug can have an effect on one of these opioid

receptors. I think the research is looking for what works on what

and why. With MS and other auto immune system diseases someday the

right combination may be found to set the immune system on the right

path. Without each of us being biochemists it is difficult to

understand the findings and research. As these two drugs are

currently being tested and used NOW by MD's most of them use the

drugs as they were initially intended such as Naloxone (Narcon) in

emergency situations for CNS and respiratory failure in various

situations and Naltrexone as a preventative for further opioid

abuse. As of now, research is just beginning to see the effects of

using either drug (low doses for both?) on our body's reactions at

the biochemistry level. The cells in our body and the intricate

changes unseen to the eye do more than we can ever imagine. The

secret is this: The cells have a tremendous job to do and each part

of a cell must function in 100% accuracy to make our body operate at

optimal capacity. When the cellular activity breaks down, this is

where illness begins. Answer: What will make our cells and

biochemisty levels function at the peak and healthy level. And: Why

did it all go haywire in the first place???? If these answers were

found, the illnesses would be gone, in my humble opinion!! mymisspriss
