Guest guest
i consulted last year with a physicist and specialist in electromagnetic frequencies (which my doc thought may be adding to my illness). he strongly recommended replacing all my compact fluorescent light bulbs with LEDs where ever possible and with regular incandescent if that wasn't possible. he thinks that all lighting will soon be replaced by LEDs, which right now are more expensive and less available (just like a few years ago it was much more expensive to buy the compact bulbs). as i understand, LEDs are much more efficient, less heat, last even longer than the compact fluorescent, and give off much less electromagnetic frequencies. thanks for sharing the info on mercury in the compact bulbs, which i did not know. this has given me even more motivation to finish replacing the bulbs. just last winter the woman who cleans for me broke the compact bulb by my bed. (we did not do anything special for cleanup :-( so i bought a small LED lantern for my bedside lamp, which has a dimming feature i like to use when i wake in the middle of the night. it was on sale for only $10 in the " camping " dept. i am planning to replace all my flashlights with leds, which are easy to find and use a LOT less batteries to run. and i'm keeping an eye out for more led lamps. may clear light and deep understanding guide us all. kendra
Guest guest
We recently bought several different kinds of LED bulbs from www.superbrightleds.com You have to be sure to get ones with the right kind of base (Edison) to fit in standard light sockets. They are expensive but are supposed to last a long time.
