Guest guest
FORWARDING....... I don't know about pregnancy and LDN...anyone else know?? ----- Original Message ----- From: I am Canadian 'Sally' Sent: Sunday, November 23, 2003 5:15 PM Subject: RE: [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN and pregnancy I understand or should I say read somewhere else that from your 3rd month on you have little worries because of your hormones etc… somehow they protect you but… I started my actual MS by getting pregnant so in my case if possible I would like to stay on LDN should I even get on it at all… so how does LDN affect a fetus? Is it alright to take while being pregnant and with all the vitamins they give you are there any possible interactions? Also I understand your likelihood of having quite a nasty exacerbation happens after the stress of giving birth so… may be safer to stay on it if it’s alright for the baby. Please let me know as hubby and I do wish to start a family when I start feeling better and maybe in a year or so… From: Sally [mailto:salpal@...] Sent: Sunday, November 23, 2003 12:16 AMlow dose naltrexone Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN and pregnancy You really don't have to take anything during pregnancy...you are protected by your natural hormones while pregnant. Copaxone and LDN are alright to take together. Betaseron is an immune suppressent anjd LDN is trying to regulate your immune system....so they may cancel each other out???Hope this helps you with your dicision makingWelcomeSally> I'm new to the idea of taking LDN, and have yet to ask my neuro > about it, but I was wondering if anyone knows if you can take LDN > during pregnancy? > > I am currently taking betaseron, and have to discontinue use when we > try to conceive, and am very hesitant to do so.
