Guest guest
That is exactly how my daughter acts when impacted with stool.Last time it was during a round of probiotics...cannot figure out why that happens some times. But, any way I use magnesium oil and put about a tbsp in a warm bath. Then, I massage her back with it, especially down near her tail bone... after that I also coat the bottom of her feet. She has responded a few times within 1/2 hr or so. Once she begins to " clean out that gut " , she is a totally different kid. Not to mention that the mag. seems to have a calming effect on her, truly remarkable. As a side not some times her impactions appear as runny, uncontrollable stool. However, I have learned that the fluid escapes around the mass, while it backs up even further. That is typically a sign for me that she is really backed up! Just my 2 cents worth....but that can make anybody feel really ugly!! Debbie Karyn <klmitch@...> wrote: Quick question to get some other thoughts of what could be going on with dd. We recently did CSA and OAT, and a multitude of other tests. Long story short, dd's came back with no healthy flora in her gut. We began probiotics and since we began them her behavior is absolutely wicked!!!! She is just being a ROYAL BUTT! I don't feel that it would be intolerance of the probiotics, she's taken these are a few others before and never had any issue like this. I was wondering if her body is " buggung out " because there were no good bugs and now they are cultivating in there??? Or am I just grasping at straws!!!!! Guest guest
Most probiotics are dairy-based. Try one that is non-dairy. How's her diet? You don't want to be feeding the bad guys... Try giving smaller amounts and see if that helps (and IME the brand makes a big difference). Also try charcoal an hour later in case the probiotics are causing die-off. Try giving activated charcoal about 45 minutes after the probiotics, see if that helps. Dana
