In addition to getting a Lipid Profile, I insist on getting a Homocystine

and a C Reactive Protein test at least annually. The Homocystine and C

Reactive Protein test basically tell me more about my heart and artery

conditions than the Lipid Profile.

My father had good Lipid Profile results but ended up having a quadruple

bypass. By controlling the homocystines with vitamin treatment, the Lipids

many times will stay OK>
