Safe paints and floors

We are doing a room addition and I am REALLY happy with the paint and stain

products from www.bioshield.com

Just make sure they send you color samples- the brochure colors are not

accurate. I painted and stained my entire new room with absolutely no smell at

all. Most of their products are totally VOC free. Their clay paints are

wonderful to work with, I prefer the texture to regular thin, drippy paint. The

wood stain I used was great- easy to apply, nice finish, didn't require any

sealer. More $$ but well worth it. My dh opened a can of regular paint the

other day and I about vomited from the awful smell!!

There is also a flooring company www.greenfloors.com

that has green-label recycled carpeting. Their customer service and shipping

time is lousy, tho.
