red eye, possibly pink eye? how to treat?

Ok..another question.

My daughter has been having trouble with her one eye for the past

week. She says it feels dry and burning. Sore. That when she wakes in

the morning it is sticky and crusty. It is a bit pink but hard to tell

as her eyes are often red. (allergies I think). We have been using

warm compresses off an on which help. But it has not gone away.

Is there any homeopathic or natural treatment for eye infections, or

do we need to see the doc? I am a bit weary of prescription eye drops

these days. Are there any safe eye drops?

She has not had a cold since winter.
