Guest guest
These are my hair test results from last May. He is doing considerably better now with only diet and supplements so perhaps he has already improved? I would like to start chelation and would appreciate your advice and guidance. Guest guest
S S, Thanks so much for taking the time to look over my hair test results and commenting. I thought that we did meet more than one of the counting rules, but it's good to hear it from more knowledgeable source. I have looked at the chelating info and am getting ready to start right after everyone leaves from the Thanksgiving visit. I will keep the group posted if you don't mind so that you can hold my hand. Thanks again, Millie > > > Hi Millie, > 4 essentials in the red meets a counting rule. Chelation is what will get him to where he doesn't need all the supplements. I count this test as meeting two counting rules and 1 short on the third rule. It is an all low test, suggesting the levels of toxics are more significant than they appear. I suggest using DMSA as a chelator, starting with a dose of 1/8-1/4 mg per pound. Once things are going smoothly with DMSA, add ALA to get the mercury out of the brain. Look in the Files section for more on how to chelate safely with low, frequent doses (see the FAQ and any links to Moria's site). People with " all low " minerals benefit from digestive support such as enzymes, ascorbic acid, and/or betaine HCL with meals. noted the Ca/Mg/Na/K pattern. It looks like adrenal exhaustion with thyroid dysfunction as well. Consider some adrenal cortex extract to help heal and support the adrenals. Check a list of symptoms of hypothyroid - if it fits at all, you may want to pursue blood tests for thyroid hormones: free T3, free T4, TSH. The low Na/Mg ratio means low adrenaline production, poor mood and low energy level. The following may be helpful: tyrosine, TMG, folic acid, B6, B12. Make sure he is getting molybdenum in his supplements. Not clear if the red lows are significant when the counting rules are met, but that is an important one. See the supplement file in the Files section for more information on supplements for chelation (antioxidants 3-4 times daily, omega 3s, B complex, milk thistle, minerals, etc). --
