I started to take birthcontrol pills to lessen my symptoms and pain of MS. I was 48yrs. old and had never taken before. My theory was that if your symptoms lessen while pregnant then fool your body with BC pills and maybe it will work the same. I was on a test mission with my obgyn. We had to change brands 3 times. I found when the progesterine was higher in a specific weeks pill, my pain was greater. We ended up using a generic cheaper brand and I had much less hip and back pain. I went off them when I had an attack and needed steroids. Stayed off and went on Rebif. Continued to get worse and switched to LDN. Pain and attacks gone so far since July 4th. There was an Estriol study in California. A doctor there found that giving estriol to MS women helped them. It was only on 12 women and when stopped they got worse. In conclusion, I still had an attack on the birthcontrol pills so my theory went out the window. They did help my pain but don't know if the risks are worth it since now having LDN. Does anyone know if LDN would hurt a pregnant woman or woman trying to get pregnant? (Surely NOT ME lol) Kiki
