Guest guest
Moms Against Mercury would like to send out a big thank you to all the Scene of The Crime Rally goers. It is because of you the rally was such a huge success in getting to the folks at the CDC. According to the Dekalb County Police, there is still a buzz going on at the CDC about our protest. The signs were incredibly effective and your voices were loud and they were definitely heard. You all should be so proud of yourselves for standing up for your injured children. We were so proud to be standing side by side with you all. Despite loosing all our meeting space because we were speaking out of mercury in vaccines, you all endured the CDC parking lot press conference with dignity. An extra special thank you needs to be extended to the following individuals (and if we left anyone out, please let us know): Without Jeff Ransom and his sound system the press conference wouldn't have been possible (very cool rally outfit Jeff) Lenamond's RV made it possible to have electricity for the sound system, and an excellent back drop for signs, etc. Weed created the most professional effective press packets we have ever seen Dr. Boyd Haley, the Geiers, Lujene , and Greg Allsberry, did an awesome job at the press conference summing up why we were there and that we were not going away. Karla Allsberry had professional signs made that were great, huge and couldn't be missed. Marina had the most difficult job of all, running our errands and putting up with us. ALL the many parents who sent out faxes….you were right there with us at the CDC making a huge difference….thank you! the Red Head….thank you for coordinating all the faxing. Leann Henkel and her husband for making the rally banner with RFK's quote. ALL the state rally volunteers…. All the organizations and many individuals who spread the word about the rally....thank you. A very special thank you to all the children who attended the rally. Last, but not least.... thank you Amy for never giving up and sending me that baseball cap over 4 years ago which read " Moms Against Mercury " and a note, " when you move back to NC let's shake things up for Kit and Will. " Amy we shook it up at the CDC along with lots of wonderful and dear parents. Please, we need to continue doing events just like the rally because we have an epidemic of mercury poisoning in this country….unrecognized and denied by many. Everyone went the extra mile and your part in this event will never be forgotten. With Gratitude- & Amy Mom Against Mercury
