Guest guest
Hi, as I posted last week I've had what seems to be significant improvement in my thyroid disease and thyroid eye disease; my ecsema also seems to be improving. I was taking 60 mcg T4 and 10 mcg T3 to address a hypothyroid phase of Graves' disease (Graves' antibodies attach to the TSH receptors and can make a person either hyperthyroid or hypothyroid, depending on the balance of two types of antibodies). After 2 weeks on 1.5 mg LDN, I stopped my replacement because my heart rate shot up to 80, signaling my thyroid levels were too high. I also stopped the LDN because I wasn't certain what was going on. I've been without thyroid replacement since Thursday and my heart rate has nearly returned to normal. The remaining thyroid eye disease symptom that bothered me, a visibly protruding eye, has disappeared and my eyes look equal again. I'll report back when I get labs in a month or so--and if I start to experience hypothyroid symptoms again I'll probably go back on the LDN--but I'm very encouraged. Best wishes, in Maine
