How I wish I knew ! Your friend must check for infection first before IV Steroids. A UTI or any kind of infection will bring on a pseudo- exacerbation. I just had one and went for urine analysis . Cipro knocked me back to normal. Before LDN, my neuro always had me check before steroid treatment. That is all I can help with. Hope your friend is OK, Kiki
