Re: Can I Switch From Diflucan to GSE?

I can only give you my insight here. I went to my doc for diflucan

cause I have a chronic yeast problem. I was able to get the script,

however my insurance only pays for ONE tablet per 30 days. This would

mean $15 a day for the entire time I was on it. Instead of paying that

amount to refill it. I began taking GSE along with probiotics. I do

not need diflucan. It controls my yeast. I use it for both my kids..my

three year old and my 11 year old too. It is cheaper and seems to work

just fine. We began slowly with GSE and made sure to give probiotics

at a separate time. For my three year old we began with a 1/4 tablet

once a day, the 1/4 tablet twice a day, the up to 1/2 a tablet etc. So

that way we did not get symptoms. I can tell you personally as I just

take the full shot and don't work up..I did not get " sick " but you

might see gas, bloating, and of course, bowel movements. I use

activated charcoal if the symptoms are like that. But once I am on the

daily dose, I don't need charcoal. The kids haven't needed charcoal,

because I worked them up to it. Once you reach a dose that is working,

maintain it for a while. Once all yeast is gone, you are supposed to

sotop the GSE until you see it returning. Keep in mind for us anytime

we have tried to stop, the yeast reappears...so we just stay on it.

Hope this helps...Boy you could buy a truck load of GSE for that kind

of money!
