Guest guest
A family member has been on LDN for 3 1/2 years. He used to have the exacerbations periodically and would take IV steroids ( prednisolone)for 5 days and still take 3 mg LDN. He hasn't had an exacerbation the last 2 years until now and it is severe. He is going to start IV steroids today because he is panicked and has to walk a lot on his job ( fear of losing it). He has never missed a dose of LDN. We are not sure whether he should still take it during the 5 days of IV therapy or not. I would hate to see him not take it. He tried one night last year not taking it and he had actual exacerbations during that night! I realize steroids suppress the immune system and LDN boosts it. I also read in Dr Lawrence's statement that they are incompatible. Has Dr. Bihari taken a position on this? Anyone know? Are the pharmacists/health professionals on the board aware of protocol? Our neurologist knows little about LDN except that it is UNPROVEN! he says! Of course we know differently. He was going to try 4.5 mg (by opening up a capsule and dumping half and taking it along with a regular) last night but I haven't heard yet how it went. Thank you in advance for any help. I do appreciate it.
