Aletha, I just want to thank you a LOT for all the good LDN witnesses

that you have collected to send

to new users. This really gives me the hope and makes me want to

spread the word even more:-)

LDN is a fantastic medicine, and I hope I will be able continuing to

tell other about it as

times goes by. I have got big changes myself, let me tell you

something:

Sometimes in some Crohns pasients the inflammation is so hard it

makes the intestine in one or more

areas really narrowed, this because of swelled layers and mucosa

within the small intestines.

Those swelling parts makes the food stop on their way down, and make

a terrible pain.

With me this pain always ended up with severe vomiting and even more

cramps; those attac could often continue for 8 hours or more. This is

called a partial obstruction. There is also

something called a stop that's a full obstruction, this often leads

to emergency and operation. It's a dangerous

situation, and I have had to find out myself everytime if it is a

partial or even worse, a full stop going on.

Have had those attacs for three years. None of the doctors I used

could tell me what this was about.

Crohns is still an unknown disease even for doctors, and mine

wouldn't send me to further examinations. At last I had to

talk " seriously " with my doctor to send med to x-rays.

Well, I got my diagnose this summer, and my doctor gave med

prednisone. The inflammation calmed down,

but when I tapered and was on really small doses of pred, my

inflammation increased again, I got big D, and I got attacs.

Started LDN in september, and the very first day after starting up

LDN the abdominal pain was gone.

I've gradually been better, and haven't had one single episode of

vomiting and cramps. Of course there were mild pains the first

months, but none of those led to partial obstructions as they had

done earlier.

The clue is: I think LDN has calmed down my inflammated intestines so

much that the swelled mucosa and other swelled layers within the

small intestines in the inflammated area are back to normal.

Because; I don't get ANY partial obstruction anymore, earlier I

couldn't have ANY vegetables, this Christmas I've been eating the

vegetables I've desired. I haven't had any daily pain since the

inflammation is calmed down, I have lost my " 8 months pregnancy look "

that is typical for us Crohnies, I haven't had any distentions or a

lot of gasproblems or any other typical Crohn's discomfort.

The only thing I still fight is some tiredness and vivid dreams. But

a nap makes me feel ok, and the vivid dreams brings me some good

laughs, which in return increases my enorphines. So, I can live with

that.;-)

So I want to thank you and all people in here for being so great and

taking care of all us newbies.

You are all true angels!!

With the greatest respect;

Ingrid
