There are multiple different chemo agents used to suppress the immune

system in MS. Novantrone (mitoxanrone)is the one FDA approved for

this purpose. You doctor must give you a full list of all possible

side effects, per the agent s/he is suggesting. But this can be a

rough treatment, I sure wish I'd had the chance to try LDN before I

did chemo.

My side effects from 1 yr of Novantrone chemo:

1. MS condition deteriorated, began using a cane.

2. Every vein in my arms used for chemo scarred up.

3. Left ventrical ejection fraction of heart deteriorated from 60 to

50.

LVEF decrease caused doctor to take me off chemo.

4. MS continued to worsen for 10 months after stopping chemo,

wheelchair was ordered.

Then I found LDN, this is the only thing that has ever improved my MS.

Stopped using cane and canceled wheelchair.

5. Continued side effect from chemo: accelerated receding gums.

Risk of heart damage and leukemia continues for years after stopping

Novantrone; risk is highest the 1st 5 years.

Try LDN for a few months before you do anything as harsh as chemo.
