Guest guest
I have been on ldn since August 1, 2007. In the last two weeks I've had an increase in muscle spasticity in my thighs and the pins and needles sensation in my lower legs and feet. Is it possible that this is a healing crisis? Other symptoms have faded, like the fatigue and the MS hug (I say that while my fingers are crossed!) Also, I was using bilberry 80 mg x 2 three times a day. I felt that it was helping. Then I purchased bilberry 1000 mg, took one and within two hours felt as though my entire body had been badly sun-burned. The bilberry is the only thing different that I took that evening. Any one else have a reaction like this to an antioxidant? Thanks for all the great information! I have convinced four individuals to start ldn for a variety of reasons. All report positive results. Guest guest
No, I just purchased the bilberry Thursday of this week. I have a lot of heat emanating from my back muscles and thought the bilberry would help. --- Aletha Wittmann <Aletha@...> wrote: > Vic, > > When did you try the Bilberry at 1000mg. Guest guest
Dear Lorna, Are you saying the drop foot and weakness are totally gone? I've been dealing with slowly progressing MS for 30 years (I'm now 65) and have been taking LDN for almost a year. I feel like I have more energy and I sleep better, but the drop foot (what an unscientific name!) and weakness are still there. I use a brace and a walker.Yvette Deluca <atlanteanproductions@...> wrote: Hi Lorna,I experienced my first MS symptom at 17yrs, I'm 37 now. I've been on LDN for about 4 months and most of my previous symptoms are gone. The only MS symptom left is a bit of numbness in my left pinky finger.Pre-LDN, my symptoms were: stuttering, loss of balance, dizziness, ringing in the ears, numbness in both arms, foot drop, leg cramps, memory problems, speech processing issues, mood swings, vision problems, weakness in my legs and arms.If you have any questions about what I'm doing, feel free to email me offlist.Yvettedarcietwo wrote:>> Want to ask if ldn has been shown to benefit those who have had ms for> a long time. Guest guest
Yvette, What great news!! I'm so glad to hear that LDN has been so good for you. I think one of the biggest benefits of LDN is not only what it does for us, but what it does for our families -- it gives our families back their wives/husbands, mommys/daddys, sisters/brothers, friends. I remember about a week after I started taking LDN and I was walking again on my own without the aid of a walker, my 3 year old woke up crying in the middle of the night. I was able to go in her room, pick her up, and carry her to couch so I could cuddle with her. I was almost in tears I was so happy! A couple weeks before that I thought I would never be able to pick her up and carry her again. A couple times she would balance her little bottom on my walker, and hold onto the rails, and I would push her around as I "walked" but that was about all I could do. What do these cynical clinical trial people know -- and they say LDN doesn't work?????Chrisie Re: [low dose naltrexone] ldn for ms yes. that's exactly what I'm saying. I do other things, in addition to LDN, like diet, exercise, meditation, creative visualization, and the like, but LDN has made the biggest and most profound changes. The day after my first dose of LDN my vision cleared. Previously, I had to stop driving because I could no longer count on my vision. Post LDN, my vision is almost 20/20 (as it was before O.N and vision involvement) . The weakness in my left arm and leg is gone, as is the foot drop... although, my foot drop was not very severe to begin with. Two weeks after starting LDN I was able to spin my 2 yr old in circles for the first time... pre LDN that was impossible. I was already dizzy most of the time, spinning in circles would have left me on the ground until my husband or older kids picked me up. Pre LDN, my Dr. suspected I had moved to Secondary Progressive MS. I had ceased to have remissions and had symptoms every day, several times a day. Since starting LDN, I don't have MS symptoms anymore, and I'm regaining the feeling in my left hand, left arm and left foot. Also, the constant pain in my shins is almost gone. Pre LDN, my shins hurt constantly, even the light touch of my 2 yr old hurt so much it could put me in tears. Now, since starting LDN, there is no oversensitivity. I can even wrestle with my boys again. If you're interested in knowing what else I do, other than LDN, feel free to email me off list at atlanteanproduction s@ gmail.comYvette> > Are you saying the drop foot and weakness are totally gone? Guest guest
Thanks, . I am on 4.5 mg. For four nights I did increase the dosage to 6 mg. It did seem to help somewhat. --- roger <jan_295@...> wrote: > > > > > I have been on ldn since August 1, 2007.
