Guest guest
After looking over Chris' graph it made a lot of sense. Everyday around 3:00- 9:00 PM are my incredibly low times to where I have the most trouble walking and am unable to drive a car. Is this going to get better? I have been on ldn for 4 months now and if anything, I've progressively gotten worse. I am very concerned and am wondering if ldn is the right way to go. I would really appreciate any input. I don't mean to be pessimistic, but I feel like I have to be realistic before anything further happens. Thank you, Stella
Guest guest
Every band is different so I would definitely do whatever your ortho says to do. With the DOC band, you work your way up and by day 3 they should be able to have it on 23 hours. If not, CT says to contact them but it sounds like you have a different band. Good luck. > > > > Hi all, > > > > I think I remember reading some posts where kids got their helmets and > > were told to wear it 23 hours right from the beginning. Guest guest
This is just my opinion, but I really feel like the parents should do what is best for their child. If you know that your child has sensitive skin, than take that approach, if you know they have a hard time sleeping, do something different. As long as within the first week, you're eventually in it 23 hours a day, I don't see how getting there makes a huge difference. We tried to stick to the 23 hours a day as much as possible, but took a few liberties here and there with him to let him head breath, or to take photo's, or to attend an event so that not ALL of his photo's from that period are in a helmet. I just really feel like you need to do what's best for your child and your family while sticking to the guidelines as close as you can. Just my opinion though Mother to , Starbanded 1/11/07-5/23/07 Pearce <kristenpearce@...> wrote: When my orthotist told me about the schedule, I initially thought I would keep it on as long as he would tolerate it, but she told me not too. She said stick to the schedule strictly. I hate it when everyone tells you something different. I'm thinking since so many people here did it longer I may keep it on longer too. Otherwise, she said, there is more chance of irritation on the skin. What have you all done?
