ADAM - are you saying that we, who are using LDN for auto-immune diseases, and are sensitive to gluten wheat, barley, oats, rye, and other grains - can ingest whey protein without any of the problems that we get from them? is there anything, such as whey milk?

ADAM - are you talking about the probiotics containing pork substances - if so, NO, YOU SHOULD NOT PARTAKE OF THEM!

I don't know how much of a difference such a small amount of pork

will make, but here's what you do to be completely safe:

Open the capsules and put the powder in half a glass of lukewarm

water (no hotter than body temperature), stir and leave it in peace

for 10 - 15 min before you drink. This will " wake up " the bacteria,

and make them stronger (as their encounter with the stomach acid will

be most unpleasant for them). This should give you a better effect of

your probiotics, and no pork! (Make sure you do not use chlorinated

water, as that will kill them)

There are vegetarian probiotics available out there in veggie capsules, no pork included. I know Metagenics has a dairy free probiotic mix. Or you can get veggie capsules at a health food store and pour the mix into them yourself.
