Guest guest
I was wrong about the IBS trial response rate being 100% I added up the male and female N numbers and drew the wrong conclusion. There were 42 patients measured. 32 had a good response. of those 32, 13 were male and 19 were female. I don't know why they can't just say that. So for 3 out of 4 people it worked. I still say there are improvements to be made in the protocol for MS. " Study Detail The purpose of this open-label study was to evaluate the clinical effects of PTI-901 (low-dose naltrexone HCI) in patients with IBS. A total of 50 patients were enrolled. All patients were diagnosed with IBS by a gastroenterologist according to Rome II Criteria. Treatment consisted of 0.5 mg dose of PTI-901 daily over a four-week period.
