Guest guest
My 5 year old has been chelating with oral dmsa/ala on the AC protocol for over a year with tremendous success. In fact, she lost her official diagnosis, but we still have some issues. In the last several months, we've slowly been introducing more foods, after being gf/cf/sf for over a year. No problems were noted. I thought we were in for smooth sailing. Wrong! Last Tuesday, we had corn-on-the-cob...something she hasn't had in over a year. We had perfect bm's on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. By Wednesday night of last week, horrible diarhea. It somewhat cleared over the weekend, although still very loose and fluffy but formed, but was pure liquid again yesterday. We were up until 2 in the morning last night with her going to bathroom every 10 minutes. She was screaming in pain that her but was burning. On the last bout...not to be gross...there was corn! Is that possible? One week later? In the meantime, she has developed horrible excema all over her body and her receptive and expressive skills have dulled. I am so heartbroken and nervous. Is this purely a reaction to the corn? yeast? Can corn cause yeast? Suggestions? I should add we stopped supplementing for a few days because I didn't know if that was making it worse and wanted to isolate what was going in her. We use probiotics, enzymes, and have done Nystatin in the past for 6 months. Thanks,
