A women complained of having bouts of fatigue the Doctor's answer was: " What you describe is not a typical feature of CMT disease " I really beg to differ with that comment, I know in my weight program there were times I could feel the energy draining from workout to workout. So instead of gaining my energy back between workouts I had to skip several before I regained it. It took me longer to recoup. To me energy and fatigue are one in the same. That really makes me tired, and puts me in more pain. Glad to hear about writing to MDA, lots of people need to realize what all the problems are that we must face. Yes we CMTer's suffer from fatigue big time as we have to use about 2-3 times more energy to do ANY given task as a non CMTer would have to do. Even just walking, we have to use double to triple the amount of energy. I wrote MDA last year and complained that their information regarding CMT needed to be updated! They wrote back that they would " look into it " . ~>Becky M.
