Guest guest
My ds has been having constipation issues ever since we started supplements in July. I have changed the calcium carbonate to citrate, he takes 400 mg mag citrate daily, 2 gr vitamin C daily. I have never known him to have any issues with yeast, which I have read can cause problems with this, but he takes 1 Tbsp coconut oil daily to help combat yeast if it arises. We have tried senna, increasing mag, raisins, even milk of magnesia the last two days, but nothing seems to work. I have had to give him enemas three times in the last 3 months because he became impacted and nothing else seemed to work. I really don't like to do this. We have never had this problem before. I have cut back on the B vitamins in case they were causing problems, but no luck. I am trying to increase his water intake, but he doesn't drink water easily. We have done 9 rounds of chelation. I am really getting worried about this, and may have do suspend chelation until it gets straightened out, but I don't want to. He is 7 yo and showing slow but steady progress on chelation. I have read that enzymes can help some kids with this. He has never taken enzymes, and has never had any gut problems. What enzymes would be best? Any other ideas to get him regular and keep him that way? I have learned so much from everyone here, and I am so thankful I found this group.
