Guest guest
Ellen is absolutely correct in her answer in that there have been no clinical trials of LDN for MS, only anecdotal information from Dr. Bihari and others. Having said that, that is how clinical trials get started. " Off label " prescribing of meds is one way to get the attention of the FDA to get these meds approved for other uses - Provigil and Topamax are two that come to mind. I was directed to this forum by my Neuro - see my post about Betaseron and LDN and have found this to be a useful place for information. Please keep posting. Thanks for the help! Guest guest
The drug companies are very busy trying to prevent anyone from litigating against any pharmaceutical product. It's called " preemption " , meaning that the fact that the FDA has approved a product " preempts " anyone saying the drug could do harm. The state of Michigan already has preemption in place. The FDA is bought and sold by pharma and now with the corrupt user fee in place, they get more kickback from pharma for every drug they speedily (and carelessly) approve. If preemption were ever put in place for the whole country (and watch out, the current majority on the Supreme Court is psychotically pro-business enough to do just that and they're going to rule on it soon), everyone else will be in our boat- with dead or injured family members they can do next to nothing about. As I always say, misery in this case doesn't love company. I can think of better ways to let my neighbors know how I feel about what's happened to our kids than seeing them subjected to the same injustice. > > Just saw a commerical from a law firm... stating if you were pregnant and > took.. paxil.. prozac , celexa and your child was born with heart and lung > problems.. to call them for possible compensation. Does this mean.. there is an > admittance from the drug whores.. ? why is it next to impossible to get the > same for our kids? Certainly.. this group of plaintiffs do not have a " look > back " period? so .. is it possible we won't either?
