I have never had a problem with it for my kids, or myself. It can cause problems for certain kids, but you would just remove it. I would not consider it " unsafe " , unless it caused an SJS reaction, in which case you would DEFINITELY want to remove it. This is rare, and can happen with any medication or supplement. >>I was giving my son Nubriotics (sp?) liquid, is this ok to give. That is what I used, for many years, without problems. Guest guest
Thank you Dana, I just read that some people are saying that it has toxic chemicals in it and I wanted to make sure it didn't before I continue giving it to my son. Thanks Jeanne danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > Hi Dana: > There has been some posts written about GSE not being Safe to take? Is this true? Thanks I have read that is has a " chemical " in it, altho I have not been able to verify which chemical that might be, or why it would be referred to as " toxic " . But, most supplements do have " problems " , whether chemical or otherwise. If it makes you uncomfortable, you can research it, or stop using it. But for my son, if something works, then I use a risk/benefit analysis. GSE was the only thing which controlled his yeast during chelation and anti-virals, so for me it was worth any alleged risk. And, I have not noticed any problems using it. Your analysis might be different, especially if your child has problems with the GSE, or something else is equally as effective for yeast for him. Guest guest
-Not Dana here but we have been using GSE since May for both my kids and myself. Works great, and I have not heard of it containing any toxins. It honestly can't be any worse than one of the prescriptions for yeast. Many of which contain flavorings, and colors and preservatives. As Dana said, it if it working for your child...as it does for us... -- In , Jeanne <jeannebee20032002@...> wrote: > > Hi Dana: > > There has been some posts written about GSE not being Safe to take? Guest guest
There was a chemist who did weigh in on this and there is a potentially toxic chemical present in GSE that she did validate was present. However, she used GSE with her child and felt it was safe. I have also read about safety concerns with GSE. We would use it, but it's useless here. [ ] Re: Is GSE safe? Guest guest
Good Morning Everyone, I am very new to all of this and a bit confused now. I have read several posts that refer to GFE as Grapefruit Seed Extract and then some that refer to GSE. Is GSE Grape Seed Extract? I hope that you all don't mind my asking such a simple question as this. ~Georgia Re: Is GSE safe? Dana There was a chemist who did weigh in on this and there is a potentially toxic chemical present in GSE that she did validate was present. Guest guest
-No it's grapefruit seed extract. Grapeseed extract is an antioxidant and will do nothing to yeast. So anytime you see GSE they mean grapefruit seed extract. And don't mind asking..better to know than not know -- In , " Georgia " <georgia- morgan@...> wrote: > > Good Morning Everyone, > > I am very new to all of this and a bit confused now. Guest guest
Thank you Jan... I have heard that Grape Seed Extract is good for ASD ~Georgia Re: Is GSE safe? I have never read the abbreviation GFE, except once in a recent message which I assumed was a typo. The bottle says GSE. Grapefruit seed extract [GSE] is good for yeast overgrowth issues. Grape seed extract is an antioxidant, but does nothing for yeast. > I hope that you all don't mind my asking such a simple question as this. We were all new once. Keep asking, and don't worry about it. Dana

If you are trying to address yeast tho, it won't do much. Try grapefruit seed extract. Dana
