Guest guest
waste of time and money. I had my first two years ago and that year I got sick anyway. Last year's virus's do nothing for this year's strains. Plus the CDC swears they do not have " anything to do with autoimmune diseases, like MS " so this statement says to me that some people think the opposite. Stay clear if you want to stay healthy. PS I recently had additional tests done and the presence of a virus some associate with MS was detected (evidenced by higher levels of some immune system molecules). I start soon trying to eradicate the virus with IV injections of H2O2 and high-dose Vitamin C (a UM-MD has had good results with cancer and autoimmune patients). I remain hopeful, as for me, LDN has not stopped my progression. I am more unbalanced this year than last - before LDN. Guest guest
Sally I am on the fence about it too. I have always had flu shots with no problems. I never knew that it was bad for MS'ers to have flu shots. Now that I know, I am undecided. Although I am afraid of getting the flu because it will put me down for a month or more. Please let me know what you decide. Guest guest
I have never had a flu shot and only ever had a bout of flu once in my life and that was two years ago starting on Christmas Day. What a lovely present!!! Spent the next two days completely bedridden as I was unable to stand. I managed to crawl the few yards from bed to toilet but needed help to get back into bed. It really scared me - made me realise just how helpless some MSrs with primary progressive must feel at their worst. It was like an insight into the future and has made me even more determined to stay as healthy and fit as I can while I am still able. Having said all that, and although it might be a risk, it will be interesting to see if taking LDN has helped my immune system fight off colds and flu. Fingers crossed!
