Guest guest
Greetings all: I have a small problem I hope you might help me with. My son is having an issue where he's constantly carrying balls or other small toys around in both hands. As such, his play is very repetitive (dropping/throwing, and then picking back up). Additionally, he tends to be obsessive with these objects. As an example, if he has a set of six balls, and you only give him four, he'll raise hell until he gets the final two. Here's where I'm hoping someone can help me: these behaviors seem to run IN CYCLES. He'll exhibit this for a couple of months, lose it for several months, and then WHOOPS! it'll be back. It HAS to be something we're doing. I'm positive there's a sensory component here. He's also been lying down a lot more and hanging out in corners more often lately. So here's my question: Have you seen behaviors like these in your kids, and more importantly, did you figure out the 'key' for addressing them? Due to the fact that these behaviors come and go, I'm almost certain that it has to do with yeast flare-ups, mineral depletion, or some othr external factor over which we have a modicum of control. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. regards,
