Guest guest
Hello Fellow internet surfers,Going to take the info about Low Dose Naltrexone to my doctor today seems like I have some hope to get this cancer into remission.More then likely won't find anyone that has used naltrexone for renal cell carcinoma but I have hope anyway. If we did not have the internet to spread good info we cold not be hopeful. Rick S
Guest guest
Good morning, Rick: Good luck with getting your Doctor to prescribe LDN for you. My Oncologist considers it to be " witch craft " or something worse. However, I took control of my treatment decisions and my life and got a prescription for LDN. If you have problems getting a prescription from your Doctor, let me know and I may be able to provide you some sources. I've been taking it since June 12th, 2003, with good results. But, in hopes of getting better results and doing everything possible to help myself, I got a telephone appointment with Dr. Bihari and talked to him last Friday, November 28th. He appears to be knowledgeable in more than LDN. In fact, he may have saved my life. After I received a shot of 60,000 units of Epogen/Procrit from my Oncologist on November 10th, I suffered from chest pains for about two weeks afterward. After two trips to the Emergency Room and a stress test, the Doctor's all proclaimed that there was nothing wrong with my heart and, in spite of my insistence, Procrit does not have a chest pain side affect. After some research, I found that it can cause chest pain but no explanation as to how. Dr Bihari advised that my Oncologist probably gave me too large a dose (up to 10 times too large). Too large a dose apparently causes blood thickening which restricts the amount of oxygen getting to the heart muscles thereby creating chest pains. The thick blood also can create clots in the lungs and extremities and result in strokes and heart attacks. He advised me to tell the Oncologist this and request that she contact and for updated dosage and usage recommendations before submitting to another shot. I'm going to do that this afternoon when I see her. This information alone was worth the $500 fee for the first consultation. I received additional information and advise from him also on the treatment of my atypical chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Guest guest
Good morning again, Rick: Over the past few months there have been some people with kidney cancer interested in LDN. You can surf the LDN chat board to find them if you want. The way I know to surf the whole board is as follows: 1. Go to www.LDNinfo.org 2. Click on " LDN Group Site " 3. Click on " Sign in to " 4. Sign in 5. This will give you access to all the messages starting in September, 2002 Noland ----- Original Message ----- From: " Rick Sitzman " <rsitzman@...> <low dose naltrexone > Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2003 8:22 AM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Kidney Cancer Stage IV > Hello > Fellow internet surfers,Going to take the info about Low Dose > Naltrexone to my doctor today seems like I have some hope to get this > cancer into remission.More then likely won't find anyone that has > used naltrexone for renal cell carcinoma but I have hope anyway. > If we did not have the internet to spread good info we cold not be > hopeful. > Rick S > > > >
