Guest guest
My son has never done this before but for the past three weeks he has been coming out with verbal stims every few seconds. He cannot control them and it has got to the stage where he is hurting his throat trying to suppress them as if you are trying to stop hiccupps. It sounds like a squeal and he is sad and upset because he cannot stop them. is 8 and a half and is on round 7 or 8 of chelation every three hours protocol. 3 days on 4 days off. I wonder if it could be chelation or mineral related. Viral or yeast related. The only changes have been 3 weeks of ketaconazole and amphotericin b . He has never had the ketaconazole before. it is also allergy season here and high pollen count. Could it be chelation?? He has never had stims like this since he was really ill after the MMR. I am at a loss. Can anyone help him please? Many thanks, Sue
Guest guest
What are ketaconazole and amphotericin b ? It seems that his stims must be connected to those since you said that he's been on them for 3 weeks and stimming for 3 weeks. Did he ever stim like this in the past? I've heard that chelation can exacerbate some autism like symptoms, but this doesn't really sound like one. Guest guest
Hi Sue I would suspect gut issues rather than an affect of the chelation. It sounds like maybe he doesn't tolerate the anti-fungal or perhaps it isn't working well for him. Perhaps try a different anti-fungal and see if the verbal stims decrease. I know that for us increased yeast can cause continuous verbal stims - especially at night.
