[ ] Ear Pulling After Chelation

Hello Everyone.

My son is on chelation round 7(AC protocal, DMSA & ALA). On day 2, he

started pulling his ears. I'm not sure what was happening. Any

thoughts? Is this a side-effect of chelation?

We didn't stop chelation.

He used to do this when he had an ear infection. I wonder if that is

what is was? If he does this now (off day) do you think I should have

his ear checked out by a pediatrician?

If he does have an ear infection, he will be prescribed an

antibiotic. What are the chelation rules -- should he be chelated

while on an antibiotic?

Thank you.

Dana, I think, talked about ear infections being caused by yeast, so

there are possibilities.

If it were me, I would not go the antibiotic route. I have heard

other parents talk about using natural remedies. You might look

here. I know the garlic route has worked well for others.

Is he casein-free? If not, take him off dairy for a week and see if that makes

a difference. Do you have him on probiotics? How's his diet? Consider the

garlic oil someone else recommended.

For my son, this meant he had yeast in his ears. I used oral GSE and

the problem went away.

At my house, ear infections meant yeast in the ears, not bacteria.

If it is a yeast problem, antibiotics will usually make it worse.
