Guest guest
Subject: Taking The Time To Laugh "A merry heart does good like a medicine but a broken spirit, will dry up the bones." (Proverbs 17:22) Have you had your laugh today? I hope so. It has been said thatlaughter is the best medicine for a long and happy life. He who laughs....lasts. We can get so stressed out this time of year with the holidays approaching. It is so tempting to over do and overtax ourselves with all the extra shopping and planning. I find I really push myself to the limit this time of year. So I have decided to take some extra time in between all the extra work, shopping and planning to find something to do thatis relaxing or fun. Perhaps a funny movie, or listen to my grandchildren tell me their special jokes. Maybe listen to a Mark Lowrey or Dennis Swanberg tape. They are good Christian comedians, and they will definitely have you rolling on the floorwith tears of laughter and joy. We need to not take ourselves quite so seriously this time of year and remember that "the joy of the Lord is your strength."(Nehemiah 8:10) Father God... Help us to learn to pace ourselves in our everyday lives and to find the special times of joy that youhave for each of us...
