I agree with Sally, first time it helped, next 2 times did nothing but make me hyper and an insomniac to later crash and sleep for 2 days straight.

Mine was Solumedrol IV for 5 days, no weaning off. Done in my home by a nurse for a couple of hours / day.

Causes bone loss after a while too. Kiki

Did stop an attack the first time. If you are having a bad one, I would do it only once. If you are progressive, stick to LDN. Just my 2cents.

The first time, with steroid treatment, usually works to stop the MS

flare.....on my 2nd and 3rd try...it did nothing but drive me nuts

and raise my blood pressure. In ON (optical neuritis) steroids seem

to work better for those symptoms.

Hope this helps you make your decision.

Subject: RE: [low dose naltrexone] Re: Steroid Treatment

I had steroid treatment this past October for the first time. I had another bad attack of optic neuritis. I did 3 days iv solumedrol and then 18 of prednisone. My vision cleared up about 2 weeks after I was finished my treatment. The pain went away half way through the treatment. I also got the feeling back in my feet after not feeling them for over 5 years. All side effects aside, I would do it again if I had to. Was worth it to get my vision back and my feet. J
