Guest guest
I am curious about that breath thing. My NT dtr has terrible breath no matter how much she brushes, and it does remind me of polish remover. I never connected it to something internal. She definitely eats her share of carbs...what kinds of things cause this? > > > > > > what supplements can I use to improve my son's attention, follow > > > through and focus. my 5 year old's attention is very very poor. > anti > > > fungals have helped it increase in 1:1 setting but it is still > very > > > poor in a group situation- he can't learn or pay attention to > things > > > happening at a distance and can't shift attention. Guest guest
Jan, I don't know what causes the acetone breath in my children, but UVA tested them and said they had an unspecified metabolic disorder, and " thinks " they will outgrow it. Come back in a year. Yeah, right. The testing was organic acids. Their version. The DAN doctor tested them and also found problems with different things. If you want details of the labs I'll type the up for you. My 7yo also wets the bed and it smells like maple syrup. Also, the sweat around his ears smell like maple syrup. He doesn't have maple syrup urine disease. My youngest also has a breath like corn. Both have been checked for diabetes, as I have. This is my opinion. The test that the DAN doctor did showed yeast. I think that is part of the problem. When we started Diflucan, I have noticed that the breath issue has calmed down. But, I also make sure they go to bed with carbs on their stomach, and feed them when they wake. Also, enzymes may be an issue. Hope it helps. > > > > > > > > what supplements can I use to improve my son's attention, > follow > > > > through and focus. my 5 year old's attention is very very > poor. > > anti > > > > fungals have helped it increase in 1:1 setting but it is still > > very > > > > poor in a group situation- he can't learn or pay attention to > > things > > > > happening at a distance and can't shift attention. Guest guest
Very interesting. I have noticed that my daughters acetone breath is less or gone when she is on yeast aid. Avoiding carbs makes her shaky and sick. So we try to only eat carbs/protein together. Basically, they have no clue. Interesting..have you researched metabolic disorders online. There are some that are genetic. , " btm66 " <btm66@...> wrote: > > Jan, I don't know what causes the acetone breath in my children, but > UVA tested them and said they had an unspecified metabolic disorder, > and " thinks " they will outgrow it.
