Guest guest
Liz, Sometimes the excitement is a result of being able to better communicate. Ours was also better " on " than off, and sometimes during a round would have a hard time containing herself, although this took the form of talking nonstop, and I do mean nonstop. We also got this reaction with oral methy B12, too much excitement, hyperactivity and a similiar response of " I just can't stop " when she was getting too much. Probably not helpful, but this should calm down with more rounds. [ ] ALA chelation/Round 3 I am currently in the midst of Round 3 for my son(5.5). We do every 3 hours during the day and 4 at night. He seems better DURING the 'on' times than the 'off.' The only thing at all that I see bad is there is an increase in stimming, not even that, just much more excitable. Once he gets up he is just UP! Yesterday I told him he needed to calm down and he said " I wish I could! " My first thought is always yeast, his poops look pretty good, still pale in color, but not yeasty in the least. Anyone have any suggestions on what it could be -- hopefully it is just the fact that he is a 5 year old boy??? Liz

For me it helps to take DMSA with it, but I still need quite a low dose. So he might be more comfortable either with DMSA or DMPS added, and/or on a lower dose. For me, this over-stimulation has lessened after several months and I expect to be able to increase dose soon. --
Guest guest
Thank you. I actually inadvertenly lowered his dose (day 2, round 3) and he is doing better. Guest guest
Chelating adult here too, and I definitely feel some ZING/energy on ALA on round. My 2 NT kids seem to get a little boost too. in Illinois

He seems better DURING the 'on' > times than the 'off.' For my kids, this was related to mineral toxicity. The chelator pulled minerals also, which for my kids was a good thing. > My first thought is always yeast, his poops look pretty good, still > pale in color, but not yeasty in the least. After a while, yeast did not show up in the bms, only in the behaviors. Try increasing your yeast protocol, see if it does anything. Another thing to consider is maybe he does not need as high of doses of certain supplements anymore. Especially things like B vitamins which can cause the hyper-type issues.
