Guest guest
Can anyone recommend a yeast product I can give my sons that can either be mixed with food or is in a liquid form? We are already doing No Fenol, and I'm starting grapefruit seed extract, but their yeast is really bad. Thank you!
Guest guest
I have heard that Threelac is really good for yeast, and am using it right now with my two boys. I just started it myself. I know it is working well with my older son (6), but can't tell with my younger son. I would also love to hear from any others that have used this product and what they have thought of it. Guest guest
> Threelac has been very effective for my son, and the first and so far only probiotic that he tolerates. I was very hesitant to try it because of all the " miracle " claims, as well as the price and lemon powder (we don't usually do citrus well), but so far, it has made a big difference. He is otherwise on Nystatin 2tabs/day but has had to stop GSE because it tends to promote bacteria overgrowth for him. Guest guest
Thanks Amy, It's always good to hear that a product is working for someone else. My son doesn't do well with citrus either. I can never tell if he is getting rid of yeast or not, would you mind sharing some of the things you see when you know it is working or some of the things you see when you know yeast is creeping up. I have noticed that his nose is yucky, not runny but boogery and that he has eye goop in one eye since he has been on it. I thought maybe this could be yeast coming out. I just know he has yeast from his stool sample. I have also noticed an increase in OCD stuff, but I have also just added DMG with B12 and folic acid and I thought this may be why. Thanks again, Darci >From: " Amy " <noahsmom7898@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Yeast Product Recommendation >Date: Thu, 29 Jun 2006 16:41:32 -0000 > > > > >Threelac has been very effective for my son, and the first and so >far only probiotic that he tolerates. Guest guest
> would you mind sharing some of the things you see when you > know it is working or some of the things you see when you know yeast is > creeping up. When my son is getting yeast, he gets silly, plays computer games constantly and can't get interested in anything else except occasionally bouncing on a large ball while watching a DVD AND running back and forth to a computer game. He gets a little too affectionate and/or can't keep his hands out of his pants and/or won't wear pants, doesn't sleep til after midnight and is up by 6 am. When his yeast is getting under control, he finds other activities like drawing, Leap Pad and listening to stories or music interesting and is able to intersperse them with his computer time. He is not inappropriately and constantly silly and laughing at his computer, and sleeps longer during the night. > I have also noticed an increase in OCD stuff, My son gets OCD with yeast. He will need everything lined up perfectly, all drawers and doors closed completely, etc. but I have also > just added DMG with B12 and folic acid and I thought this may be why. > I tried B12/B6/B5/folic acid with my son earlier this year and it was a disaster, yeast wise. But I am hoping to try again in very very low doses. Amy
